This unique design features the insightful words from 1 Samuel 16:7: "For the Lord sees not as man sees: man looks on the outward appearance, but the Lord looks on the heart." At the time this verse was spoken, the prophet Samuel was sent by God to anoint a new king over Israel. As Samuel observed Jesse's sons, he was impressed by their outward appearances and assumed that one of them must be the chosen king. God chose David, the youngest and least likely in the eyes of man, because of his heart—a heart that sought after God.
